Mobile Detailing Brookside AL

Brookside is a small town in north-central Jefferson County with roots in coal and a strong Eastern European heritage. Cars here deal with hilly roads, creek-side humidity and plenty of pollen. Fast Garage Mobile Detail offers true mobile detailing in Brookside: the van carries water and a generator, so we can work right at your house.

Town History

Brookside’s mine opened in 1886 and was bought a year later by Sloss to fuel its Birmingham furnaces. The town incorporated in 1898 and takes its name from Five Mile Creek, which runs through it. Many Czechoslovak immigrant families came to work the mines, and St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, founded in 1894 with its onion dome, still hosts a Russian and Slavic food festival each November.

Humidity, Mildew and Musty Cabins

Low-lying, creek-side homes can mean damp air, and damp air finds its way into carpet and headliners. Our Premium Detail includes interior shampoo and extraction, a clay bar, polish and paint protection, which clears out the musty smell along with the grime. It starts at $300 for cars, $350 for trucks and SUVs, and runs about three and a half hours.

Getting Ready for Us

Preparation takes a couple of minutes. Pull personal items out of the seats, door pockets and trunk so every surface is reachable. Leave room to open all four doors fully. If the car is in a carport or under trees, that’s fine; we just need safe footing around it. You’re welcome to stay inside while we work, and we’ll knock when it’s ready to look over.
